Post-consumer recycled materials use signficantly less energy and resources (such as oil) than newly manufactured materials. In addition, materials such as plastic that has been recycled means less waste in a landfill, in the ocean, or in an incinerator! Products containing a high percentage of post-consumer recycled materials are environmentally preferable to those than contain little or no recycled materials.
